Italian Property Holds the Key to Traditional Tuscan Homes

One of Italy’s largest, independently operated real estate and restoration agencies has secured a selection of sought-after properties in the ancient city of Arezzo, Tuscany. Italian Property ( http://www.italianproperty.eu.com ) can now offer clients a choice of historical houses in the heart of the city, or perfectly restored properties with panoramic valley views, set against the classic Tuscan landscape of rolling hills and olive groves.

Arezzo is about 80km southeast of Florence, in the easternmost part of Tuscany. Located on a steep hill, the old walled city centre maintains its medieval appearance, with beautifully decorated buildings and a shady park at the summit. The city plays home to the frescoes of Renaissance master, Piero della Francesca, and is a ‘must- do’ stop on the cultural trail across Tuscany.

Property in Arezzo is sought after, and Italian Property is able to offer prime real estate, thanks to its 20-years of market experience and intimate knowledge of the area. Its Arezzo portfolio includes a Leopoldina-style villa, a Padronale-style property and an 18th century palazzo in the charming old city centre, a large stone farmhouse with terrace and swimming pool above the town, and an immaculately restored country villa dating back to the 1700s. Prices start at €1m.

The National Association of Estate Agents International states that UK investors remain confident about international property markets and are keen to purchase abroad, with properties in established destinations, such as Italy, expected to perform particularly well in 2008.

Jason Jones, managing director, says: “Since Arezzo had a starring role in the Academy Award-winning film, ‘Life is Beautiful’, property in the area has become even more popular. Add to this the oldest and biggest antiques fair in Italy, music and cultural festivals, and paintings which are considered to be one of the high points of early Renaissance art, and you start to see why spacious, fully-restored properties in and around Arezzo are in such short supply.”

Arezzo’s central Italian location means it is well served with transport links: Florence Airport is just one hour by car, with Pisa, Perugia and Rome airports no more than two hours away. The city close to the A1 highway, and on the main train line between Naples and Milan.
